Acquiring 1m Wise customers in Brazil

Overview

When working at creative agency That Thing, I was the lead designer and project manager on the Wise account.

Wise was launching in Brazil for the first time and required campaign assets for launch across the Brazilian homepage and socials.

My contribution

Process

I created an engaging campaign key visual and developed messaging for the teaser and launch phases, which I brought to life across the landing page, social accounts and 30+ paid ads. I designed content for Instagram, including branded stickers and gifs for followers to use in their stories in celebration of the launch.

For the website visuals, I refined the existing Wise app flows with localised content such as language, currencies and imagery.

Working with the existing Wise asset library, I created bespoke iconography and illustrations for use across the website for pre- and post-launch.

Outcome

The Brazil launch was a great success - Brazil is now one of Wise's top 5 markets, with over 1m customers (10% of their total 10m customers).

Off the back of the Brazil launch, we won the work to launch Wise into two new markets: China and Mexico.
